These are images of ordinary construction paper, some 9x12 inches and some 18x24 inches. The paper was taken into the studio, curled and crafted with clips and rubber bands (this was the really hard part), lit with constant light sources, and photographed with a Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens mounted on an extension tube and a Novoflex Nikon F-mount adapter to a Hasselblad X2D body.

This allowed me to get closer to the subject, to capture edges but also to extend the photographic area just beyond the edges of the paper. Many were postprocessed to reduce texture and clarity, giving a glow and a sense of otherworldliness.
