In what must be one of the most amazing contradictions found in Lake View Cemetery, the grounds crew have allowed (or mausoleum owners have stipulated) that nature take its course, practically growing up, around, over, and overcoming the final resting places of many. It should not be lost that these stone buildings, built to house and preserve the names and fortunes of families, are in fact disappearing beneath the unstoppable movement of time.
