This gallery contains images of churches found in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Some churches may have been photographed in a community nearby to Tuscumbia, such as Muscle Shoals or Sheffield. I had the good luck to be personally led by the hand to see these churches by a local resident who clearly embodies the idea that these churches, while relatively small, are hugely significant for how they tie together the people of these communities. Churches are meant to foster bringing out spirit. People seek the light of the spirit within churches. The idea guiding these images is to show the churches themselves rising up from darkness, reaching for the spirit in the light.
